A B O U T

Thomas Cannon is an American dramatic baritone whose performances have been praised for their vocal power, dramatic intensity, and musical versatility. He has appeared with opera companies and orchestras throughout the United States in a repertoire spanning Verdi, Puccini, Mozart, and contemporary works.

Recent engagements include Amonasro in Aida with Utah Festival Opera & Musical Theatre, Germont in La Traviata with Opera Orlando, Sharpless in Madama Butterfly with Indianapolis Opera, Scarpia in Tosca with Opera Roanoke, and Porgy in Porgy and Bess with Greensboro Opera. His concert appearances include Beethoven's Symphony No. 9, Mendelssohn's Elijah, and other major symphonic and oratorio works.

In addition to his performing career, Cannon serves as Assistant Professor of Voice at Boston University, where he teaches applied voice and vocal pedagogy. A graduate of The Juilliard School and the Music Academy of the West, he is committed to cultivating the next generation of singers while maintaining an active career as a performer and recording artist.

Whether on the operatic stage, the concert platform, or in the recital hall, Thomas Cannon brings a distinctive combination of vocal richness, dramatic insight, and artistic integrity to every performance.
